Critics say that her pictures breathe, they are alive. May be it happens because her motto in life is "never give up" and the philosophy in art - "this world is so beautiful"? Ludmila Bespruzhnaya’s pictures are so natural and real that it seems that in a moment you will feel the scent of daises, or you can take and eat one of the apples in the picture…
Ludmila was born on the 14th of November 1937 in Lugansk. She started to draw when she was only 8 years old. Being a school girl she attended an art studio and in 1951 took part in republican exhibition of the art of children, which was held in Kiev. Next year her paintings were presented at the VII USSR Exhibition of Fine Art of Children in Moscow.
She continued her education in Lugansk State Art School and then in Kiev State Art Institute. After graduation Ludmila worked as a teacher of drawing, painting and composition at Lugansk State Art School (now – Lugansk College of Culture and Arts).
As topics for her paintings Ludmila Bespruzhnaya chooses genre still lives (flowers, fruit and vegetables), lyric landscapes, cityscapes. Her own favorite work is the still life "Daisies" which in Ludmila’s opinion brings positive emotions to the onlooker. Among Lugansk artists she distinguishes V.Koshevoy as a master of landscape.
